Each vol original black cloth boards with full colour paper illustration affixed to front cover repeating dust jacket image, top edge stained teal, titles and rules to spine in gilt, map endpapers printed in black and blue and 16 pages of photographs. Vol 1 tail of spine water marked, head of spine weakened slightly from finger-pulling and endpapers toned near joints; vol 2 head of spine same condition, gilt titles partially rubbed off and small white mark to fore-edge. Overall near fine copies in identical pictorial dust jackets, top edges frayed (vol 1 with slight loss), several nicks and short closed tears to extremities and water staining to spine panels. Both volumes housed in the original illustrated slip case rubbed and chipped with piece missing from one corner.
